Stage Elevator

During my senior year of college, I completed an independent study focused on automation. For my capstone project, I designed and built a stage elevator with an integrated moonroof. I began by developing a series of small-scale demos to better understand key concepts such as maylines, limits, cue links, and powering switches. From there, I created detailed draftings to define the system’s size, tolerances, and mechanical relationships. The moonroof was powered using pneumatics, while both the elevator and moonroof were controlled and programmed using Creative Conners automation equipment. Drafted in Vectorworks 3D.
